Why Applause?

Operating in NYC for 25 years, Applause inspires, nurtures and trains aspiring young artists from
ages 3-18 in the performing arts. Hundreds of our students have gone on to successful careers in
theater, dance and film acting.

Theater

Theater is the very heartbeat of Applause. Whatever your interest — musical theater or straight acting — Applause provides an ever-evolving curriculum based on the latest trends and teaching techniques. Broadway-seasoned instructors create a safe, open and supportive community where all students perform in a professional theater setting.

Applause Dance elevates and empowers young dancers through structure and creative collaboration. Expert instruction from professional choreographers and dancers balance artistic expression and traditional technique to promote individuality and growth, from a beginner’s class to a full-fledged dance company.

Film

Applause-produced films routinely go viral, attracting millions of views within days of release. In addition to acting, Applause Film Acting students participate in the entire filmmaking process, from developing story lines to final screening at a real movie theater. Filmmaking is the perfect vehicle for all kids (no matter what age) to find their voices, whether they are already aspiring actors, possess huge personalities or fall on the quiet side.
