BROADWAY BABIES

Broadway sets the stage for this energetic, educational, and unique mommy & me class. In this interactive experience, children are introduced to a different Broadway show every week. As the four teachers begin to share what the show is about, children and moms are invited to participate. Lyrics are posted so that everyone can join in singing out show tunes. Props, costumes, and a multitude of musical instruments help develop the children's imagination, as well as musical and rhythmic skills. Guided by highly accredited teachers and pediatricians, our curriculum weaves educational activities such as pre-K development of motor skills, color and letter recognition, counting numbers and socialization, through the stories and songs of each musical. This class provides a venue where an adult can bond with their child while also meeting other adults who have young children. Come share the magic of Broadway with us!

45-minute mommy & me class ($695)

BROADWAY STARS
AGES: (4&5 years)

This wonderful class introduces musical theater to children, and now we put the spotlight on them! Through acting games, improvisation, singing, and dance moves, your child will be performing in no time. If your child is already performing for you at home, or your child needs a little more encouragement, then this is the class for them!

BROADWAY SUPERSTARS
AGES: (K - 4th Grade)

Let us introduce your child to musical theater taught by Broadway performers! Each week, your child will get to take part in a series of acting games that helps them develop their imagination, creativity, articulation, and performance skills. The class will work as a cast throughout the semester on staged production numbers. At the end of the semester we give them the chance to perform on a stage in front of a large audience. Here's a chance for your child to strut their stuff!

BROADWAY SUPERSTARS 90-MINUTE CLASS

A 90-minute class (offered to 3rd & 4th Graders on Tuesday afternoons) gives students an opportunity to spend more concentrated time on their singing, acting, and dancing.

HIP-HOP SUPERSTARS
AGES: (K - 6th Grade)

Your child will learn the latest moves to today's hottest music. Whether they'll be grooving to the latest pop songs, or learning the Pop and Lock, your child will break out and have the time of their life in our Hip-Hop class! At the end of the semester, K-6th grade classes will get to perform in a theater filled with a large audience.

DUETS CLASS
AGES: (All Ages)

The Duets class is a wonderful opportunity for two people to sing and perform together (parent and child, grandparent and child, two friends, etc.). Every week each "pair" will be introduced to songs that we think would be perfect for them. After the songs have been selected each week's class will be dedicated to working on the songs, directing and choreographing them. At the end of the semester, there will be a cabaret night where all the duets will be performed. Don't miss this memorable opportunity.

90-minute class ($895)

APPLAUSE DANCE CLASS
AGES: (5th - 12th Grade)

This dance class introduces different styles of dance including jazz, modern, ballet, and tap. Through works of famous choreographers (Fosse to Stroman), students will gain the tools they’ll need to go on auditions. The level of difficulty is adapted for each dancer. (4pm: 5th – 8th grade, 5pm: 9th – 2th grade)

APPLAUSE WEEKEND WORKSHOPS
AGES: (5th - 12th Grade)

This exciting and intense workshop is for the child who is serious about theater. Each actor needs to make the commitment to work hard and learn everything there is to know about what it takes to put on an Off-Broadway show. The Director, Choreographer, and Musical Director provide training in acting, singing, and dancing through the rehearsal process. Classes are visited by industry professionals who come to speak and answer questions. The semester ends with performances in a beautiful Off-Broadway Theater. Invite your friends and family to the shows, which are also attended by agents, managers, and casting directors looking for new talent. Workshops by audition only. See below.

Musical Theater Workshop A (9th - 12th Grade) meets Saturdays from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM for 14 weeks. By audition only. ($1500)

Musical Theater Workshop B (5th - 8th Grade) meets Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM for 14 weeks. By audition only. ($1500)

Musical Theater Workshop C (5th - 8th Grade) meets Sundays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM for 14 weeks. By audition only. ($1500)

Audition Dates

• Date 1: June 3, 4:00 - 7:00 PM (preferred date)
• Date 2: September 3, 12:00 - 3:00 PM

You must fill out and send in a registration form BEFORE your audition date. Students will have an increased chance of being accepted if they attend the first audition date.

STUDENTS MUST PREPARE 6 bars of a song (bring sheet music for accompanist). Please note we have sheet music for the following songs:

• "Tomorrow" (Annie)
• "Corner of the Sky" (Pippin)
• "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (Wizard of Oz)

HIP-HOP ADULT CLASS
AGES: (Adults)

Leave your inhibitions at the door and get your heart pumping with some great hip-hop dancing. This class will provide a really fun environment with hot music playing and a guarantee that you will be sweating from head to toe. While moving across the floor doing the latest dance steps and learning new combinations each week, you are sure to be hitting the clubs in no time.
