Broadway Styles is designed for students who love Broadway and want to expand their knowledge of dance. Each class incorporates basic dance techniques such as flexibility, strength, rhythm, and agility, as well as across-the-floor combinations to break down jumps, turns, and kicks. Your dancer will learn styles from classic Broadway musicals as well as current trending musicals like Mean Girls and In The Heights! This is the perfect class for the aspiring dancer and those hoping to one day join Musical Theater Company B or the Applause Dance Company.

Lights, camera, action! Dive feet first into the world of commercial hip-hop. Students will work with Applause Dance Company choreographers to learn the fundamentals of commercial dance. This class is essential for the aspiring dancer interested in exploring the ins and outs of dance for stage and screen. The semester culminates in a professionally shot, fully produced, and edited music video.

The Applause Dance Staff has created a one-of-a-kind curriculum designed to improve each student’s technique while building their dance vocabulary. Each class incorporates a warm-up focused on stretching, strengthening, and placement. Across the floor combinations are broken down to help each student develop a deeper understanding of jumps, turns, and kicks. Throughout the course of the trimester, students will have the opportunity to study under multiple choreographers in a variety of disciplines including classical and contemporary Broadway Jazz. This class is a game changer for students interested in auditioning for Musical Theater Company A!

The dance company staff has created a one-of-a-kind curriculum designed to improve student’s technique while building their dance vocabulary. Throughout the course of the semester, students will have the opportunity to train in the areas of jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and lyrical. This class is a must for those students interested in dancing at the advanced or elite level!

This first step towards joining our Intermediate Company will give you the foundation and tools to work in any professional dance realm. ADC Elite is a team of the most dedicated and passionate young dancers willing to push themselves to the max each and every week. This intensive program provides serious dancers with accelerated training, cutting edge hip hop and jazz choreography, and exposure to the world of professional dance through regional competitions and community performances. Elite team training focuses on strength, conditioning, technical precision, showmanship, artistry, and the execution of choreography. Each semester includes at least one regional dance competition.

In order to be eligible for the competition team a dancer must:
-Be between the ages of 10 and 17 as of January 1st, 2022.
-Be enrolled in over 3.5 hours of dance classes at Applause per week.
-Have at least 2 years of technical training or be dancing at an intermediate or advanced level.
-Be proficient in both Jazz and Hip Hop styles.
-Be able to commit to the entire semester without conflict.

Class will be held on Saturdays from 11am-1pm at Ripley Grier Studios.
